The Silk Route has been established for the last ten years in The Horsemarket, Kelso, and specialises in high quality garments for ladies of all ages; individually hand-made in silks and tweeds, and ranging in sizes from 8 - 18.

Tweed jackets, skirts, tops and dresses can be found in a wide range of exciting and colourful textured fabrics, which can be mixed and matched, making them ideal for weddings and formal occasions.

Cocktail and evening dresses, skirts and tops are made from luxurious velvets, plain and embroidered silks, devore, beaded and embroidered silk chiffon and silk tartan, and are all fully lined in silk. They come in many classic and vibrant colours, and again can be mixed and matched.

The Silk Route also stocks a wide range of hats for all occasions in felt, straw, silk and feathers. Accessories include embroidered and beaded evening bags, matching stoles and scarves in velvet and chiffon - some with beaded fringing.

A selection of costume jewellery, decorated porcelain and silver boxes all make very attractive gifts.
