Kelso Library Centenary Garden is growing
Charity Begins at Home have very kindly donated £500 to buy plants and planters for the Kelso Library Centenary Garden. Thank you very much to them for the generous donation and to one of our Friends of Kelso Library members for their expertise in selecting and arranging them for us. The garden is looking really good.
Despite the inclement weather we have had a few events outside. Edenside and Broomlands had class visits which were held in the open air. It is really good to see the children sitting on the horse shoe bench enjoying stories.
Our last Friends of Kelso Library meeting was held around our new table and also a meeting of the Veterans Day concert committee.
Readers are enjoying taking books and newspapers to enjoy any sunshine we have. Mums with young kids have discovered it as a good place for the children to listen to stories – or let off steam.
The photographs were all taken by Amy Thomson – our newest member of staff, welcome to Amy and thank you for the photographs.
