Kelso Library Centenary Garden
Friends of Kelso Library are currently applying for Awards for All funding to upgrade the garden to the rear of the Library. £2500 has already been gifted by Charity Begins at Home and £1000 from the Abbey Row Community Centre.
This area will be an outdoor reading area which will be paved allowing access for all. Seating will be provided to encourage readers to look at books, papers etc. in the open air.
Nurseries have already expressed an interest in coming to hold story sessions, and Friends of Kelso Library will be able to host author sessions.
The garden has now now been tidied up, and plans will soon be available for pricing.
Seating is being sourced and a sketch for a wrought iron gate is being discussed.
