St James Fair 2008
The dates for St James Fair 2008 are Saturday 6th and Sunday 7th September.
The two exhibitions in the Town Hall this year will be:
Work in Print - Kelso's Contribution
and an exhibition of the paintings of the late James Henderson.
The Principals for 2008 are:

Saturday 6th September 2008 10.00 Magnum Road Show 11.30 Parade sets off from Tait Hall to Kelso Square 11.50 Proclamation in Town Square 12.00 Crowning Ceremony and "Crying of St James' Fair" 12.00 Stalls and Funfair Open 12.15 Kelso Pipe Band 12.45 Lynella School of Dancing 13.00 Historical Walk (Leaves from Town Hall) 13.15 Cherie and Friends 14.00 Lynella School of Dancing 14.40 Elvis Returns 15.45 Magnum Road Show 17.00 Break Time – ( a short break to catch your breath or have a cuppa) 18.00 Kelso Folk and Live Music Club 19.00 State of Consciousness with Rachel Waters 19.30 Fair or No Fair ( Kelso's Answer to Deal or No Deal) 20.45 George Kennedy 22.00 Fair Closes for the Day.
The Continental Market and Stalls will be open from 12.00 till 1700. (Funfair later)
Sunday 7th September 2008 10.00 Magnum Road Show 10.30 Open Air Ecumenical service in the Square ( Old Parish Church if wet) 11.30 Michelle Douglas School of Dance ( Hip-Hop) 12.00 State of Consciousness with Rachel Waters 13.00 Historical Walk (Leaves from Town Hall) 13.00 Elvis Returns 13.45 Kelso Folk and Live Music Club 14.30 Jedforest Instrumental Band and Kelso Pipe Band 15.00 Closing Ceremony 15.15 George Kennedy 16.30 Fair Closes (The Town Crier will ring out the close of the Fair)
The Continental Market, Funfair and Stalls will be open from 12.00 till 16.30. The Sunday Flea Market will be open from 10.30 till 16.00. (£5 per pitch)
