St James Fair 2011

St James' Fair 2011 is being held on Saturday 3rd and Sunday 4th September.

The Fair will be opened by the Guest of Honour Alastair Campbell. A retired Headmaster, Alastair now spends much of his time producing spectacular books containing superb aerial photographs. His two books, currently available, "Scottish Borders from Above" cover the East and the West Borders, and he has a new one on Fife in the pipeline.

Saturday Programme:
10am: Magnum Roadshow in Kelso Square
11.30am: Parade from Tait Hall to Town Square
11.50: The Proclamation
12noon: Crowning ceremony and "Crying of the Fair"
Stalls and Funfair Open.
12.15pm: Kelso Pipe Band
12.45pm: P.A.R.
1pm: Historical Walk from Town House with Christine Henderson.
1.30pm Lynella School of Dancing
2pm: Borders Has Talent 2011 (Semi-finals)
3.30pm: Justine Blaszk (Borders Has Talent Winner 2010)
4pm: Angie and the Straytones
5pm: Fair Closes for the Day:

Market and Stalls open fron 12noon till 5pm.
Saturday Fleamarket open 10.30am till 4pm.
Continental Market in Horesmarket and Funfair later.

Sunday 4th September:
10am Magnum Roadshow
10.30am: Ecumenical Service in the Square (Old Parish Church, if wet)
11.30am: Jedforest Instrumental Band
12noon: Stalls and Funfair Opens.
12.15: Rachel Waters
1pm: Historical Walk from Town House with Christine Henderson.
1pm: Michelle Douglas School of Dance
1.30pm: Riddell Fiddles
2pm: Borders Has Talent (Final)
3pm: St James Treasure Hunt Results
3.15pm: Closing Ceremony with King Queen and Attendants.
3.30pm: George Kennedy
4.30pm: Fair Closes (Town Crier will Ring Out the Close)

Fun Fair and Stalls Open from 12noon till 4.30pm.
