Borders Family History Society

The objects of the Society are to promote genealogical studies and family history in the Border counties (Roxburghshire, Berwickshire, Selkirkshire and Peeblesshire) of Scotland.

A research room with micro fiche and micro film records of census returns, births, marriages and deaths is situated at Old Gala House. Also information on local Borders families. Monumental Inscriptions series for graveyards in parts of Roxburghshire and Berwickshire, recording still being carried out.

Opening Hours:
April to October - Tuesdays and Thursdays 1.30pm to 3.45pm.
July and August - additional Sunday 1.30pm to 3.45pm.
