Formed in 1921 the Society is a member club of the Scottish Community Drama Association. The Society normally perform one three act play during the month of November. The club takes part in the annual SCDA festival for one act plays in February and have had some success in this field in the past. The society also perform regularly for charity. New members are always welcome both acting and non-acting. Rehearsals are usually held on a Tuesday and Thursday evening.
This year 2011, is the 90th Anniversary of the Society. It presenting "The Holy Terror", a play by James Scotland, based on Moliere's "Tartuffe", on 17th 18th and 19th November in the Tait Hall, Kelso.
The production is in the experienced hands of George Amos.
