Kelso Horticultural Society

The Society presents two flower shows per year, one on the fourth Sunday in August and the other on the first Saturday in November. Looks to promote the interest in horticulture in Kelso and the surrounding area. An Annual General Meeting and three Committee Meetings are held each year.

August Show Flowers, Vegetables, Fruit, Floral Art, Photography, Industrial and Childrens Sections.

November Show Flowers, Vegetables, Fruit, Floral Art, Honey, Industrial and Childrens Sections. Includes a Kelsae Onion class which has a first prize of £80 and is sponsored by Johnsons Seeds.

The Society holds a Kelso Front Gardens Competition each August for the John Scott Trophy (a former provost of Kelso) and now also holds a Patio Gardens Competition for a silver salver.

Evening meetings are held during the autumn/winter months, which can include talks, slide shows, video presentations and demonstrations (see below). Everyone is welcome with admission being £1.50 per meeting which includes refreshments.
