Sir Walter Scott

Sir Walter Scott attended Kelso Grammar School for a period of six months during 1783, when he stayed with his aunt, Janet. Later, when he wished to have his work, 'The Minstrelsy of the Scottish Border' published, he approached the Kelso publisher James Ballantyne.
