Prize-winning Kelsae Onions
Kelsae Onions - originally developed in the Kelso nursery of Laing and Mather. Now widely available as seed and plants. The competition record for weight is almost 16lbs, but it still has a mild flavour.
Pettigrews of Kelso - manufacture a range of fine chutneys and relishes including speciality Chutneys such as Classic Tomato, Orchard Apple and Hot Gooseberry. In recent times these have been joined by Sweet Red Onion, Old Fashioned Plum and Spicy Pear.
Kelsae Cheese and Stichill Cheese - made at Stichill with milk from their Jersey herd.
Kelso Pottery - jugs, mugs, bowls and serving dishes are all hand thrown, decorated and fired on the premises. Open Mon - Sat 10am - 1pm, 2pm - 5pm.
Teviot Game Fare Smokery - a wide range of smoked products including chicken, eel, salmon, and trout. The water gardens leading down to the River Teviot are open April to September. Coffee shop offers light snacks. Situated at Kirkbank on A698 between Kelso and Jedburgh. Entrance to Water Gardens Free.
