History
The origins of this club (formerly known as St. Johns Badminton Club) may go back as far as 'The Sixties' when the small court at St. Johns Church hall was the meeting place for one of the two Kelso badminton clubs: the other playing out of the tiny 'Drill Hall'. Prior to that, the majestic 'Corn Exchange' was home to Kelso badminton in the 50's and early 60's. In 1978 Edenside Primary School became this clubs new home. Membership during the 23 years has seen a max. of 29 (full members) dipping to 16 in 1987/88 (averaging 25) all of mixed age groups/gender/and standards ranging from new starters to good club competition players.
