Kelso Ladies Hockey Club

The Ladies Hockey Club compete in East District Division II. Season 2002/2003 will be our fouth season in Division II, as we aspire to reach Division I, following three successive years of promotion from Division V when we first entered the East League from the Border League in 1996.

Our home games are played at Tweedbank on the synthetic pitch whilst our away games take us as far north as Dunfermline, west as Livingston and east to Haddington, with the majority of away games in Edinburgh.

Training is twice weekly with fitness and running at Shedden Park, Kelso on a Tuesday evening and at Tweedbank on a Thursday night for much needed skills and match play. Our season runs from September to March with pre-season training starting in August (times and dates to be confirmed). We encourage S4 girls upwards to train with us and are always on the look out for new members.

We are a sociable club and as well as our hockey we enjoy the odd night out with refreshment in The Black Swan whilst in Kelso, and at The Ship Inn in Melrose for post match teas.

Kelso Ladies Hockey Club run a mini hockey club on a Sunday morning from 11 - 12 noon starting on Sunday 22nd September. This is a weekly session open to boys and girls in P3 to P7. For further details on the ladies and mini hockey clubs, please contact either of the above names.
