Thefts – diesel has been stolen over the past few weeks from hauliers yards within the town. Approx 500L stolen so far. To date extra patrols conducted during early hours concentrating on hauliers yards and heavy good vehicles. Yards visited and advice given.

Opportunists – this time of year encourages opportunist thieves, looking for ways to earn extra cash by stealing items and selling them on. Prevent this by ensuring valuables are removed from cars, doors locked and also house doors/windows are locked

Newsletter:
A newsletter has not been produced since September, I have developed my role as CBO and becoming increasingly busy, I have not been able to produce this. It is also governed by Corporate Communications who print and produce finished item, who have also been inundated with other printing work that takes precedence. I have continued to report in the Kelso Life magazine and will continue this, and in the new year plan to restart the newsletter.

Community Contact Van will be out and about on 8 and 9th January, weather permitting and posters/emails to be sent out at later date.

Wishing you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year
