Countess of Wessex to be Patron of BUAS Bicentenary Year
The Countess of Wessex has agreed to be patron for the bicentenary year of The Border Union Agricultural Society, which was founded on January 22nd 1813. The society with over 1000 members was founded to encourage excellence in stock breeding; to promote discoveries in arable farming and to encourage the development of improved agricultural implements. Known worldwide for the Kelso Ram Sales and the Championship Dog Show, Springwood Park is the home of the society. There are events there throughout the year and a visit to BUAS will show the wide range of activities on offer there.
